Power structure of the

Federation

Regional assemblies

At this level the governing system is unique from place to place, this level deals with issues at a more local level, of which one member is elected to represent a territory to the Federation council. This lower level of governance focuses on how things are run at a more regional level and closer to the citizen, They typically decide how things are allocated, and are responsible for transport and other essential systems, and domestic issues. They are also responsible for delineating their own region of power, and to work with other regional assemblies to mange worlds in a semi-autonomous manner from the higher levels of Federation governance. They are most importantly to deal with the working of their areas of control, and to the welfare of the citizens, they are also expected to coordinate minor crises, and to fairly represent the people to the higher Federation council.

Though the methods of these regional meetings are varied, they all have the same distribution of power, and the same abilities.

A Regional assembly will typically represent a few dozen million citizens, and can be thought of as a ‘country level’ form of governing, the members are elected from the representative population in annual elections (generally), and a typical size of such a regional assembly is about two hundred or so people, these are often made up from members of local assemblies.
