Objectives
All
true planets are recorded (cut-off between asteroid and planet ~1500km,
give or take according to circumstances and composition), though other
factors including spin rate (high in asteroids), and regularity (planets
are predominantly spherical) are important determinants on smaller
bodies
All
major satellites around planets recorded
All
major asteroid belts (densities above value 1, [sol's asteroid belt has
value ~3])
All
major ring systems
Extra
material covering interesting aspects of documented worlds, such as
indigenous life, climate, and surface features.
Terms
The
term ‘significant satellite’, means any orbiting body above 100km,
objects below this may well not be accounted for, especially around
jovians.
Jovian
is a colloquial term for gas giant, though this term does not
distinguish the type of gas giant.
Terrestrial
is a colloquial given to rocky planets
Asteroid
colonies will be distinguished into one of two groups, the first as an
orbiting body around a planet, or secondarily as a traveling (powered
flight), or sun orbiting body.
Comments
and other papers may include new types of data, which may not be
standard format, explanations for the terms used in these should be
given in accompanying text
